The year is , but let's travel back to the glory days of the 1990s, the heyday of DOS gaming. IA Launcher is a Windows/macOS/Linux program that runs on modern machines and allows you to easily play the DOS games of yestermillenium.
IA Launcher comes pre-loaded with the metadata of thousands of DOS games that are publicly availably from the Internet Archive. If you haven't already, please visit their website and leave a donation for the excellent work they're doing!
How does it work?
IA Launcher is a frontend for DOSBox, which is an emulator for MS-DOS. When you launch a game, it first downloads the game from the Internet Archive, then starts DOSBox with the correct parameters to launch the game.
